The AHA COVID-19 Ventilator Reskilling eLearning Course is a self-directed eLearning fully online course designed for healthcare providers in the acute care setting to improve their knowledge and competence in mechanical ventilation skills. Course completion time is approximately one hour from the comfort of your home.
With the high demand for ventilator management in the acute setting due to COVID-19, healthcare providers may be tasked with managing complex patients with minimal understanding of mechanical ventilation or ventilators. Successful completion of this course includes a review of all course content and answering all knowledge-check questions. Upon successful completion, students will be able to view/print a certificate of completion. Completion of this course does not result in an AHA course completion card.
The purpose of this course is to serve as a general review of ventilation in patients who require mechanical ventilation and does not certify the participant in direct management of a ventilator. For a more in-depth ventilator course, see our Classroom Course for Ventilator Training.
